Hainan Gibbon The Hainan Gibbon is the world's rarest primate (an animal of a certain group of animals) and was considered critically endangered (which is when they are on the verge of extinction). There are only about 28 of them left in the world, this why it has caused so much concerned for many people around the world, and why I made this blog. Females at birth until an adult are black Weigh around 17 pounds It is the world's rarest ape One of the 25 rarest animals in the world Females are orange if adults and males are black At dawn they start to singing (wabble, hooting, screaming) 28 of them live in 6 square mile area. Their normal food (fruit trees) has been chopped down so they eat leaves, insects and shoots * , and this causes stress because it is not their usual food.
