Northern Hairy-Nosed Wombat


The Northern Hairy-Nosed Wombat is critically endangered at a global level, and is only found in Australia where most of the colonies of them are located in two national Parks. These are very unique animals so here are some basic should know information about them.

  2. Can go up to 40km/h during short distances
  3. Live Most of their lives in dens
  4. They life on average 26years long
  5. Thay are Nocturnal
  6. Part of the Wombat family.
  7. Scientific Name: Lasiorhinus Krefftii
  8. They eat 12 different types of grass
  9. They sun themselves to stay warm in cold weather
  10. They have softer fur longer and more pointed noses and broader bigger muzzle compared to the other wombat relatives.
