The Southeast Asias Javon Rhino is considered one of the worlds rarest animals and is considered critically endangered. The main reason for their low population is that they are poached for their horns which our used for medicines. Their are many conservation acts that are trying to stop poaching and to protect this animal. Here is some quick information about them.
- They weigh about 1984-5071pounds
- 10-10.5ft long
- 4.6-5.8 ft tall
- Rhinoceros Sondaicus is the scientific name
- Horn up to 10in. tall
- They live in tropical forests
- Skin looks like armour because of the loose folds in the skin and is gray
- They are poached for their horns
- Called the one horned Rhinosourace
- One of the five extant Rhinouraces
